Pineapple Upside Down Cake

This is definitely one of my favorite cakes. Well I love pineapple so anything that includes that is my sort of desert

   - 220 g sugar
   - 150 g flour
  - 4 eggs
   - 150 g butter
   - 1 tsp vanilla essence
   - 1 tin sliced pineapple
   - glazed cherries

  • Put the oven on at 160 C. Decorate a round oven tray with the sliced pineapple and glazed cherries.

  • Mix the eggs, sugar and vanilla essence until you get a smooth and creamy mixture. Add the melted butter and flour then pour over the pineapple sliced.

  • Bake the cake in the over until it is golden brown but still soft to the touch.

  • When the cake is ready take it out of the oven and let it cool down. Sprinkle some icing sugar on the top to prevent the cake to stick to the plate.

  • Place a clean plate on top of the cake and turn it upside down. Be careful not to burn yourself.
